Can't add enough "Dittoes" to this thread!

Where did you find the painter? Does he advertize?
Did I mention that I really love this Triumph??![]()
Holy Moses, and I thought I took a lot of picturesErick Clay. He is a member of the Shovelhead.us forum that I frequent.
He is also on Facebook:

That tank is what makes the looks of the whole bike.. The only and most important part of it that I didn't do!
He mixed the color himself based on my vague description and a color square that I emailed him.. Couldn't have been more perfect! I have definitely given him many pats on the back!

Also here is a slideshow of the "restore". (Very long and may be boring!)

You've certainly got a nice record there of everything you've done.
I've been slow working on the CAD drawing of the bike, and it's taking a good long time due to the fact that I had not drawn an OIF Triumph before, so I'm having to draw several new components which takes time (Lockheed disc brakes, especially).
I hope it does the bike justice when it's done (soon)
New guy on the block. Planning to paint my frame once it warms up a bit. Wanting gloss finish and saw that you have used Rustoleum. Your recommendation is to spray Rustoleum directly on the frame. No use of this POR base? You have good success with getting the desirable results from Rustoleum? I'm not looking for concourse, but want a respectable finish!! BillI skip the POR and go straight to the Rust-O-Leum. It's ingredients inhibit/prohibit rust AT THE BASE.

I prefer a powdercoated frame. Then, if it ever somehow gets damaged, or if I have to weld on it, I use Rust-O-Leum to do the touch-ups.
