Thank you both for your input. I just called the local Triumph dealer service dept. They told me the part cost $239 and they would charge an hour labor to install it. I'm going to do it.

You won't be sorry! I had the centerstand installed by my dealer before I picked up my (then) new '12. I can't see having a bike without one.
Just the considered opinion of the "village idiot": Jim

I agree.
I had the dealer install a centerstand before I took delivery of my T100.
The Triumph item isn't cheap, but the convenience it provides when working on your bike is well worth it.

I have a centre stand and had to add feet to it to suit the longer Ohlin rear shocks which are 375mm long (standard Shocks on Bonneville 340mm long) That gave the rear wheel lift just off the ground to spin

To be honest it should come as standard, I don't know who started all this charging for centre stands and other things like Gel comfort seats. You wouldn't buy a Rolls Royce, then open the door and find deck chairs instead of comfortable seats.
All the manufacturers are doing it, and in my opinion it's a rip off.

Couldn't agree with you more, Mad....................it should be standard on bikes, unless they are simply to heavy to get up on it. Even then, there are other ways of designing center stands that would work in heavy bike applications.
Jim
