Not meaning to hijack this thread, but this is a wooden lift I built several years ago so I could work on my vintage bikes easier.
Since it's wood I only ever put a bike of 180 kilos (under 400 pounds) up on it. It's strong and stable but I wouldn't trust it with a heavier weight.

This is my adapter I made for my Daytona out of some scrap 3x2. A couple 1/2" pipe hangers, a couple "L" brackets I cut up and a 12" x 1/2" bolt. The bolt just goes through the center stand holes and the pipe hangers. The notch in the wood was a 3 beer mistake, it didn't need to be cut out. But I drilled a line out for the speedo cable to pass through2013-02-24 11.15.04.jpg2013-02-24 11.15.11.jpg2013-02-24 11.53.40.jpg2013-02-24 11.18.00.jpg2013-02-24 11.16.36.jpg

Great stuff, I like it.

Now, "a 3 beer mistake", you're are a cheap drunk. :y15: I'm no big drinker but usually do my stuff ups after 5 or 6.
How many beers did it take to get the photos upside down? :y2:

All said in the most friendly joking tone.

How about a long shot of the bike clear off the ground?

Here is a couple pictures in full view of the bike.
I shouldn't drink at all, it took me over an hour to get 4 bearings out of 2 wheels yesterday.
