Well it's time. I've finally worn down the rear far enough were I figure safety is being compromised. How many miles did I ride on the MOE/stock Tourance tire you ask?
Mind you it was all om the super Kalifornian highway, averaging 78 MPH, normally I ride at 85-90 MPH. I rode 9573 since September 11, 2013 when I purchased her new with only 5 miles on the O. So here are the pics of he wear and the new BattleAxe being installed.
Oh, the legs in the one pic are not mine. That was a kid working on another bike. I always wear jeans and boots when I'm riding.

It always galls me when I fit new tires and have to throw away all that good rubber on the edges of the tires - just like what is shown in the pics.
But that's just the way it is :y1:

Dave, they do OK in the dirt. They are a 90/10 tire. My XC came with that tire OEM. I have over 12,000 miles/19,312 kilometers on mine. I will replace replace mine with an 80/20 or 70/30 tire.

Hi. I did, 9573 miles on it, but as I stated I ride a bit fast so I didn't get the 12,000 he BigK has gotten.
The OME tire that I replaced was a 90/10. The Battle wing is a 80/20 and have not ridden in the dirt yet, which I don't ride that often. I have the XC just encase I need too.
I agree, so much good rubber left on the edges.

If I remember correctly, the Battlax is a touring tire so the Battle Wing would have more dirt ablity. I know on my Girlie I could hardly wait to get rid of the Battle Wing, I did not like it. YMMV

I should have said Battle wing. My mistake. My T100 came wioth the Battle ac which did not work well for me. I am pleased with the Battle wing; but I need a bit more of an aggressive tire for off pavement.
