Hi, I have the 1960 3ta with eng no. In the 18000's. Parts book 3 covers my model and the centre stand is part no. 4402. If it assists you I have added pics for comparison. 1379455206310.jpg1379455285833.jpg1379455120006.jpg

Thank you simonster, would you or kashif be prepared to take some measurements from your stands for me please? The bike came with a stand (that only had one spring hanger that was on the wrong side) and the feet have been ground off to get it some where near correct but it just looks such a bodge. If you can measure the height of the stand from centre of the fixing bolts to the ground i can compare to mine. Cheers

Here are some photo's of the stand which came with my bike, as you can see a bit of an ugly bodge hence the reason I am looking to buy a new one. The spring hanger is on the wrong side but as so much has been ground away from the bottom I am guessing it is not the correct one and the bike will probably sit too high off the ground if I take the effort to move the spring hanger. What do you guys think? The picture with the tape is from the centre of the bolt hole. I think it's probably for an 18 inch plus wheel bike and been made to fit sort of....

hi aciow, your centre stand looks pretty much as standard apart from the spring hanger being on the opposite side. I will post a pic and sizes this weekend.

image.jpgThere you go :) now guys i need some more advice, currently it has no trip reset and the bulb holder has no wire... Im guessing i can sort out the bulb holder quite easily but not sure what is needed re the trip reset. Have ordered a new speedo cable too.. image.jpg

Beautiful..........but sadly it has an incorrect needle :( ........you can fix this holder by soldering a wire in it for bulb + u need a trip reset stem which is 8-10 inches long but u also need to check for its mechanism inside....i dont see a pin coming out of shell where u ll hook the stem...sending u few pics

Thanks kashif, i have contacted the seller and am getting a refund. Will be a few more weeks before i get a replacement now. Yes the trip pin was in the back with a hole through for a thin pin.

Don't worry Kashif I will not mention you! Hey Simonster did you by any chance have an opportunity to take some measurements and or photo's of your stand please? I really would like to get one ordered but don't want to have the hassle of posting back anything incorrect if I can so if you can help I would be really grateful.

Also can anyone post a photo of what is supposed to be in the centre of the nacelle. I seem to have an orange light to show the ignition is on but I thought it was supposed to have a kill switch?

Cheers

1381159332214.jpgHi aciow, the stand size looks to be the same 210 from centre pin to base and stand width is 430 from outer boot to kick bar. Its just the spring hanger which is puzzling me! Sorry for the delay in this reply. Simon

Aciow, there is no kill switch on my 1960 model and if you look at my recent thread I have some close up pics of the nacelle. Simon

Hi Simon

Your post has been very helpful to me. This is my nacelle top. I appear to have the same style ammeter. The one thing that looks odd about my nacelle top is the hole where the steering damper comes through appears to have been elongated. I will have to take another pic as obviously it can't be seen from the top and the handlebar rubbers don't sit in the nacelle, the guy who was selling the bike said the bars needed rotating.... Perhaps someone has modified a nacelle top from a different model? I understand that the cut outs on the nacelle tops varied as well as the hole sizes etc. Would either you Simon or Kashif be able to measure yours.

I think my 3TA may have been modified to look like the sports version in the past as it came with a humped seat and has ball end handlebar grips that don't appear to be standard according to the parts book.
