Got the Tec Bike Cam. Looks nice. Should with shipping it cost me $704. Canadian Dollars. Dropping Bike off this week to have it installed and dynoed.

Darth720,

Did you get it installed? I’m curious to know how the bike runs with a performance Cam Shaft.

I have a T120 with K&N, Meerkat De-Cat and short slip-ons and just bought the Power Commander V. Does anyone has a Map for this configuration to send me?
Just to have a start point map before going to Dyno my bike!

Thanks a lot

Whats your e-mail i can send you a map. Cam is not in yet. Weather here has been crappy winter time. I was going to trailer the bike on a open trailer but roads are full of salt. So waiting for my son to come over to load it in box of truck.

Thanks Darth720,

I will try it and let you know. For now I’m still using the stock map without PCV.

Best Regards

Ricardo . I sent the map. Pull the snorkel out of the air box. One screw and leave it out. Big Difference. You will like it. If you want to . after snorkel is out start the bike and let it idle till the fan on the rad kicks in a few times. Suppose to put the computer in a reprogram mode. Then take it for a rip.

Thank you very much,

I got it in my e-mail. The Power Commander will arrive in January (5th, or so), until there I will put the snorkel out just to try.
By now around 2500rpm and 3000rpm with around 20-50% of throttle the bike just chokes a lot. 100% throttle doesn’t cause that.
And I also hear a strange Knock around this rpm as well. I think it’s lean (quite a bit) around this area, but a guess the snorkel out won’t help. I have to wait for the PCV!

If anybody has an idea how could I test my A/F, I appreciate!

Thanks again!

Ricardo. You are running 91 + octane fuel? Stay away from the high methanol content fuel. I put the de cat ex pipe on and TBR slip on pipes and it ran ok but not worth the money or effort. Then I then pulled the Snorkel. WOW! ran great ,pulled hard. Pull the snorkel and start the bike. Do not touch the throttle. Let it run till the rad fan kicks in a few times. Shut it off restart and go. ECU is suppose to be in fast learn mode then I was told. All is good it will not lean out unless you have a problem with your ecu. Do you have a check engine light on? If not you should be running ok. I had a tech tell me that they will not lean out with these mods. The power commander V piggy backs the stock system so they kind of work together. I ran the bike with these mods before I put the power commander on it was ok. If you are really worried look at your plugs. I drag race so have done this for years. Use a magnifying glass look for sparkly metal on the porcelain , is the electrode melting , is there black speckles on the porcelain? What color is the plug at the base of the threads or the porcelain. does the electrode have a heat stripe on it and where is it from the thread base. The black speckles is detonation as well the electrode melting would be lean or detonation. Metal sparkles from piston top or valve it would be really lean for that. I am sure people will disagree with my plug readings. The stripe on electrode will tell your timing check the links below.

I’m running 87 octane (IAD) fuel. This week I will try the premium 97 octane, but this premium gasoline in Brazil never make any diference in this bike. People use it in high power engine with higher compression, I actually think the 87 IAD runs smoother on my bike. And I almost forget, the gasoline in Brazil has 25% of Ethanol.
The bike doesn’t look to have any visually problem. Only the knocking, that at first I thought was a Valve, but it’s not! The dealer told me everything is fine! But I, as a musician, hear a strange noise, I don’t know. The dealer say, maybe because the engine is breaking in, some times the noise that it produces change a little bit. The bike is now with 4600km used!
I took out the spark plug, and it seems to be normal. Light brown on the center and black on the outside border.
And, as I said, between 2300rpm and 3000, if I use normal traffic throttle, it doesn’t burn well the mixture, like, when the old carburetor is dirt! That feeling!

i traded my 2012 mag wheeler recently for a nice 7 thou preowned 18 T120, only a cool short ride to warm the oil for a change, but it felt great! not being able to contact the first owner i gotta learn on my own if anything was done to it. i quickly seen the decat was done + the silencers dont look stock, but it sounds great without being too loud. expenditures are on hold after i contracted for a set of beautiful polished aluminum sealed Alpina wheels. they take a down pay then the rest is later when they ship from italy as they are built to order. wanted to get this $$$ upgrade done early as its cold + either ice or snow now in pennsylvania USA so no riding!!
