Ricardo. You are running 91 + octane fuel? Do you have a check engine light on?
I’m running 87 octane (IAD) fuel. This week I will try the premium 97 octane, but this premium gasoline in Brazil never make any diference in this bike. People use it in high power engine with higher compression, I actually think the 87 IAD runs smoother on my bike. And I almost forget, the gasoline in Brazil has 25% of Ethanol.
The bike doesn’t look to have any visually problem. Only the knocking, that at first I thought was a Valve, but it’s not! The dealer told me everything is fine! But I, as a musician, hear a strange noise, I don’t know. The dealer say, maybe because the engine is breaking in, some times the noise that it produces change a little bit. The bike is now with 4600km used!
I took out the spark plug, and it seems to be normal. Light brown on the center and black on the outside border.
And, as I said, between 2300rpm and 3000, if I use normal traffic throttle, it doesn’t burn well the mixture, like, when the old carburetor is dirt! That feeling!
