Battery Ideas .

Need a new Battery for the ( GRRRRR ) Tiger 1200. Any recommendations you guys?

Yuasa always made a good battery, or are you thinking Gel type or other possibilities?

The AGM's are the best bet for that application. Unless it came with a Lithium from the factory, inwhich case stick with the lithium. If it didn't come with a lithium the rectifier voltage may be too low to use a LiOH.

Really . Never knew that . It came with a AGM 290 CCA . Been on the bike for 3.5 years . Dose t hold a full charge for more than 3 days put a diagnostic instrument on it and it told me the Battery's heath was 54% and to replace it . Charging system was tested and was fine . So plugged it into Tune my ECU and a fault code P1698. So AGM Battery looks like best idea so far.bike has a few electrical extras on phone charger , cameras so its had a hard life .

Odyssey. The one I put on the Ducati in 2010 is still giving sterling service but it is on the Optimate when not in use.

With any lead-acid battery there will eventually be some sulphating that deteriorates the battery. Some are better than others so last longer but none are permanent. Just part of the cost of ownership.

FWIW, I've been using Yuasa batteries for over 30 years and have always had good longevity and service from them.

Decide on a Motorbatt ,
Got it from Boydes in Hamilton . Made a phone call the tec on the phone was very very helpful and spent 7 mins searching for the battery after shopping around and speaking to others . Price was 209.0$ NZ . Texted me next day to say it had arrived . Picked it up fitted it yesterday dated and noted the seller on battery . Will keep a record of any issues. Last battery was 290 CCA this one 320CCA .
