Battery Disconnected - Service Error Message Reset

Hey everyone,

I bought a Ni-cad battery charger and installed the lead for it on my Tiger 1200 GT Pro this weekend. Of course this required that I disconnect the battery for a few seconds.

When I finished, I noticed that the clock icon in the upper left corner of my display screen was alternating between the time and a "wrench" icon.

Called the Triumph service dept. and they said I need to bring it in to have it "reset". It's telling me the battery was disconnected and the time is wrong.

Does anyone know how to reset this at home? My dealer is in Norfolk Virginia about 25 miles away through heavy traffic. Thanks!

Reset the clock and date and the service light will clear.

If it's like my Speed Triple RS and has a joystick on the left bar, you need to toggle to the clock setting on the TFT and reset the time. The wrench should go out.

If it's like my Speedy, it came stock with a Ni Cad battery.

Exactly right, my Tiger 1200 GT Pro came with a Ni Cad battery. A conventional charger would destroy it.
Also, Vector was correct...I reset the clock and date and the service indicator disappeared.
