Little progress after the holidays finally getting back to it. Last fall I decided to replace the spokes on the front wheel due to them being in rough shape. Ordered new Buchanon SS spokes, got the aluminum hub all polished up, finally got the spoke pattern figured out which was a hair puller. This morning finally got the wheel true to with-in .5 mm. Dont know what the spec is but hope it's ok. Anyone here know what torque they should be? Or what tune / key note should be when you pluck the spoke? Checked with a torque wrench and they were 4-6 foot lbs.

I hardly memorize specs any more "check the book".

When it comes to wheels, I always just send the cleaned & prepped hubs to Buchanan's and Angel & Kenny get 'em done!
Thanks GP
Service manual just says to check for loose spokes. Haha
I enjoy a challenge and this was a challenge for sure but satisfying when done. I read somewhere that they should ping like a empty wine glass. How big of a wine glass? All I have is beer bottles and Mason jars.

According to the Triumph International Owner's Club boss, John Healy, British rims should be torqued to 30-35 inch pounds so you're well past that.
You can find his wheel building article on the internet. It's well worth reading and is attached.
The danger with the aluminum front hub is that too much torque could break the hub by snapping a piece right out of it.
.5mm is well within spec.
