I will take the summer heat any day thanks :D

Ditto!!!!

It is as rocky says all down to what you are used too ! But I hate the heat it's horrible sticky and energy sapping .
For me working as a saw miller and forester any thing between 5c. And 8c is fine for chainsaw work. And 10c and 15c is fine for the mill, for riding I like it around 18 c to. 21 c. But no more or it's just uncomfortable .
You have to remember that I was brought up with no central heating and your breath frozen on the blankets in the morning was a regular thing as was the in side of the bedroom windows .

Shane, I have lived like that for a spell and I have lived in the tropics. I'd take the tropics any day.

I don't like extremes either way though Joburg has no humidity whatsoever so temps of 38c are do-able. But spring and autumn are my favourite times - perfect days. We never get rain in Jhb during the winter but this last weekend was strange. It warmed up quite a lot, had a constant cloud cover (explaining the warmth) but on Sunday, the thunder started and then it came down like a summer storm. Very odd indeed.

Well we sure having a very strange winter this year. During the night we had temps of 23 degree Celsius = 73.4 degree Fahrenheit and today our high will be 28 degree Celsius = 82.4 degree Fahrenheit

We had a few cars do that the other morning
They damaged a water pipe whilst digging trenches to lay cables, so a lot of water on the road
Next morning black ice had formed and cars were sliding off the road into walls, into each other

This summer weather sure is strange. When I got up the temp was 81F/27C. Now at 11:20AM the temp has dropped to 72F/22C and the cold front is not even going to make it here, this is all the rain in front of the front.
