Going to be 80F on the beach today. The bikinis will be out in full force. Guess I'll just have to drive by...
I'm a bit of an astronomer myself. I enjoy viewing the heavenly bodies.....if you get my drift :y13: :y15:
We're having a mild spell here right now at +2-3C, but not exactly bikini weather yet. Nice to see the snow melting though.
Every 2-3 days we've been getting small to medium storms that keeps adding to the snow already on the ground, but the past few days it has turned to rain after the day warms up so the snow depth is holding or shrinking a bit.
Famous last words, but the most severe winter weather is almost behind us this late in February.
I'll probably regret saying that CRY

We've been having an amazing period of mild weather for the last week. The temp ever went below freezing even over night.
Yesterday it was a sunny spring-like day at 9C (48F) It's nice to see the snow and ice taking a beating from the sun.
But this is not normal and this week it will be back below freezing - but only -5C(23F).

We dodged the latest outbreak of cold; but we had severe weather across the central and northern parts of the state yesterday including tornadoes; but none touched down. The weather did delay the Daytona 500 for six hours.

I was watching the race until the rain delay.
I picked it up later in the evening, but fell asleep and didn't see the end FACE :y2: CRY
I found out this morning that Dale Jr. won.

I forgot to mention that the strtetch of mild weather continues and it was +2C (36F) when I got up this morning.
The snow and Ice is taking a beating and it's nice to see it going.
The piles where the snow was heaved are slow to melt, but bare ground is showing everywhere.
Come on spring!!!!!!!!

I watched it until the end. I was disappointed that Danica Patrick got taken out in wreck that she did not cause. She was running a decent race until then. She is the first woman driver to lead laps at Daytona during green flag racing.

I'm a Danica fan and hopes she does well, but she's up against some stiff competition..
The race may be replayed later in the week on SPEED so I may get to see it yet - even though I know who won.

Dang it, we skipped summer and went straight to winter again. When I got off yesterday morning it was 73 DegF. This morning it was 50 degrees colder. . . 23 DegF and a stiff north wind dropping the windchill to 6 DegF.

Rocky and The Seeker had better watch out. . . It's headed their way.
