I’ve found a local 2nd hand store with a large selection of used metric wrenches, sockets, and Allen keys for very cheap (lotta brand name stuff). Bought some last week for the tool kit I’m putting together for traveling but reading this has me thinking I should go back and get more for situations like this. The answers I've found involved making a tool by grinding a wrench to make it thinner.
Yes, the OEM guards are brush/weather guards at best.Put the Triumph handguards on my XC today. Wouldn’t really count on them to survive a drop but they helped cut the wind and kept my gloves dryer in a downpour.
Thanks for the pics.Yes, the OEM guards are brush/weather guards at best.
I broke the r/h stock guard on my XE the second time I dropped it and not even a hard drop at that. As well as the cheap metal on the handguard breaking, the mirror mount that it's attached to also broke along with irreparably damaging the r/h heated grip. All in all and expensive lesson. I now have Barkbusters - a much more reliable and effective solution in my view.

They look good. When I got my B B’s the colour selection was poor , so went with the silver and I’m happy I did . They are very rugged and light weight . A must have for sure .View attachment 55999
