***************************************************************************I tend to take care over my visors so I won't have to replace them and most time I find that I would purchase a new helmet before replacing a visor.
Wow! If you replace your helmet every 6-7 years as recommended, that's impressive that your visor is unscathed!
My visor will get scratches on it from random stuff, and I have zero tolerance for a poor field of view. I'm looking through 4 layers: glasses, internal sun visor, pinlock visor insert, and the helmet visor. Anything on any of these just drives me nuts, so I replace scratched items fairly quickly.
I did find that using an online glasses-ordering site has cut way down on the cost of my prescription riding eyeglasses. I get birth control glazzies that have two lens areas: the mid-range lens (to see the instrument panel) and the distance lens (to see what cars are trying to hit me). LOL
