Wouldn't sport bike forks be stiffer with less travel?
Considered changing springs? I know Progressive makes new springs that are supposed to improve the ride quite a bit.
Guess it depends on whether you're trying to make your Scambler more road or off road capable.

Thanks for your replies - I should probably explain. I have replaced the rear shocks on my Scrambler with the Ikons and they work quite well. I have also put the caps from the Thruxton on my forks so now I have some pre-load adjustability, I added the Ricor Intiminators to the front, which are a cartridge enulator. I also changed to fork oil to a 5w. All of these mods seemed to help at the time. The bike works great on dirt roads. I still am not satisfied with the front rorks on a twisty road. I guess I am comparing it to my other bikes - with higher spec fork components. There are models of the R6 that have damper rod type forks and may give me additional damping and rebound adjustability. But I am worried about how to hook up the caliper and how it would interact with the existing front rotor. Since this would be a cheap purchase on eBay - maybe $100 to $300 and since I have a mechanic to do the work, I may be willing to experiment a little. He told me to check the forums and the rest to the Web to see if anybody has tried any of this. Hence my posting here. It's my initial attempt so do this research. Thanks again.

I’ve just fitted Ohlins 25mm cartridges with springs and oil these cost £620.00 uk I’ve posted pics on the Thruxton page under suspension upgrade.

One fork has compression the other has rebound giving basically twice the amount of adjustment that you’d get in dual adjustable forks

Thanks for your reply - great idea - found this on Revzilla

I also found this - too rich for me right now - $800
Ohlins NIX22 Cartridge Kit Triumph Scrambler 2006-2016

Thanks again

Mine are fks218, I don’t actually know what the difference is but the guys that recommended these know their stuff.
Whatever you choose I hope it goes the way you want it too

You will need a more off-road oriented donor bike to wind up with fork tubes long enough to accommodate the taller stature of the Scrambler. Some guys have used USD Kayaba or KYB units from Yamaha YZ models with great results.
