This is the way to fix it
1. Rumble strip leading up to
2. Speed humps
3. A boom that will be closed by an activation bream that will pick up the vehicles that exceed the maximum hight
Why did they not just ask me in the first place :y2:

That would fix it! BGRIN

"Well because it seems to be more than just a few idiots and someone's going to die"

It appears that there is about one accident per month over a year's time. This bridge is on a major US highway. For 12 idiots a year, nanny government should inconvenience thousands? Remember these idiots have broken the law by disobeying traffic warnings.

If I understand it correctly, they don't want to re-route traffic because there's one street which some trucks use to make a few deliveries.

It doesn't sound like it would inconvenience a lot of trucks.....just those few. I just thought inconveniencing a small number would be worth it to save many.

The drivers that try to take over height vehicles under this bridge are just plain stupid.

1. A truck driver should be aware of the height of his truck as should the driver of a recreational vehicle. It is the driver's responsibility.

2. If a vehicle is too tall, it sets off the flashing warning lights. These drivers that hit the bridge have ignored all of the signs for the preceding three blocks and have ignored the warning lights. Maybe they are of the same mentality of the folks who try to beat a train across a crossing with warning lights flashing and gates down. In a word, stupid.
