Triumph calendar bike of the month

I was a bit disappointed this month when I flipped up the calendar page as I expected to see another lovely vintage Triumph motorcycle.
Instead, I have the Tigress scooter from 1958 that was intended to compete with the Italian's, but was mostly a complete failure.
Oh well, you can't win them all or always have everything

I had one of those in burgundy i got it for a tree job i did .... it needed a bit of work but it was quite tidy ... but damn it was a scooter
so i gave it to my uncle , who tidied it up a bit and made bloody killing a killing on it

That is very cool. I like to see scooters - but I don 't want one. But that is a Triumph.

Scooters are getting more popular here with commuters every summer - both men and women.

Same here, The youg folks seem to like them. I think they like the automatic transmissions. You know a clutch is a millennial anti-theft device!

I test rode one of the larger displacement Honda scooters a couple of years ago, and man, that thing would go!!!!

Yes, some of those scooters will move out. I can get Mabel's Honda Big Ruckus up to about 65 mph. When she and I were riding in Ontario, she would cruise easily at 55 - 60 mph. Obviously I was just loafing along on my Tiger.

In 1958 i wanted one of these or any scooter for as that goes, just think how cool that thing would have been when you were 11 years old!
