This worries me (belt drive)

Another thought....when a chain wears out it stretches. What happens with a belt to let you know it's time? i assume you just change it when the manual says to, otherwise the only thing i can imagine is waiting till it breaks ! Is there any warning?

A belt cab be examined for wear just as a chain. You just need to know what to look for.
