This one was used as a produce stand up until a few weeks ago. It's for lease now, maybe I should turn it into a motorcycle cafe?

Picked up 3 more today on a relatively short stretch of Old Route 1, NC.

Damn you have a lot of abandoned gas stations in NC. I thought I had one last week. Had been a few months vacant. Rode by last week they had a GRAND OPENING banner out!!! UGh....back to riding around looking for abandoned stations (darn)

Yep, all I have to do is cruise the old State highways and it seems like they are everywhere in the rural areas. I even passed one up today because it looked like somebody is calling it home with cars and such parked in front. There is one or two in town that are old stations but are now operating as something else like auto repair or u-haul...

Seems the way here. Many are "re-purposed" mechanics, or antique shops.....video rental stores gift boutiques etc. etc.

Got 3 in my radar......just need to get by and get the shots.......maybe this week if work will facilitate a ride day. I pass these 3 every day, kills me when I am in the Subaru watching them go by

On the other hand, I could NOT for the life of me find a darn TOW TRUCK today for the Scavenger hunt! Abandoned gas stations? All day long around here....Tow trucks? Not so much!
