Last night I went to Sharon, Pennsylvania to see The EarthQuakers.....and Amish rock band.....LOL!

They were actually a very good band who dresses as Amish guys and go by all Amish names: Micah Shetler, Jacob Byler, Seth Byler, and Isaiah Work.

They were really good and the lead singer is hysterical in between songs. Well, even DURING songs!

They really know how to make a room rock and it's all about having a good time.

BTW....they are from the Conneaut Lake, PA area, except the drummer who's from right across the border in Champion, Ohio.

Oh Lord......watch out for those "Ohioans" ....they are trouble with a capitol "T" and an extra side of "mischief" thrown in for good order.

Well....that's why they name them after a worthless nut......buckeyes!

I listened to a couple of the YouTube videos, not bad but they do need to get some electrical juice to the guitar amps, the acoustic drums were over powering the guitars. Oh course it might have just been the phones audio that hid the electrics, I'll have to check 'em again when I get to my home computer.

I might have to put them in my playlist with a local Irish rock band, Blaggards.

Or the guy running the sound board needed to boost the guitar & bass? I felt live that was needed. He seemed to get it right on some songs and not on others.

That was my thought too but it was easier to blame my phone incase it sounds better on the computer. A good sound man can make or break a band.

Plus......if it is recorded on a cellphone, the cellphone's mic can't cope so they sound quality is poor.

Overpowering drums in a small venue is always an issue.
When I did sound I'd stuff the drum kit with blankets at small gigs. Kill the sound off before it gets into the system.
