For the record, i finally got a chance to take a couple long rides on a 80 degree weekend. Twisties, freeways, all of it. The bike seems to have loosened up and i'm much more impressed that i was. It's so much stronger it's become a lot more fun. I believe fully broken in and the break in oil gone and some synthetic in it it will get even better. It finally does what i wanted all along....gives me that almost scared feeling when i open it up like the R3. I love that ! Passing even when at 80 or 90 is effortless and quick. Yesterday i accidentally burned out taking off briskly from a traffic light ! At this point i would tell anyone with a Tbird that the BB is a absolute must have unless they are 100% happy as is. Now i just want to ride all the time !

Hey now.....LOL

Street Bob 1574 cc 634 lbs wet. T-Bird 1597 cc 746 lbs wet. I bet my bike is faster. I may even run with the 1700 cc big bore.

It's not just the bore or the weight....it's those along with the HP figures and torque. Mine is at 100HP and 118 Lbs of torque at 2500 RPM. If you can outrun me you have one heck of a harley ! :ya2: The only one i know of thats not highly modified that can is a Vrod, and with the difference in torque thats even debatable. The 1600, maybe. But even there it's got you beat in HP and by a mile in torque so the excess weight isn't likely to get you past it. But it would be close for sure. Gotta realize tho that harleys don't have the kind of torque the bird has, not only amount but how low it peaks in the RPM range. Torque is a huge equalizer.

Torque is what it's all about. Love when a bike straightens my arms... :y115:

100% agree. Thats why i just cannot be interested in the triples, aside from the cosmetic aspect which i'm not too fond of. And thats why i like cruisers. There is nothing more satisfying then pulling away from a stop and feeling that monstrous pull trying to yank your arms out of thier sockets. God i love that ! If not for several things i didn't like about it, i would likely have bought a rocket when i demo'd one a few years back. The torque on that thing is just insane. I loved it, but there were things that were deal breakers that no way i could ignore. But if you haven't, you should demo one just for the experience.
