For some time now, I have wanted to take some time and find a vantage point for the Narrows Bridges to take some shots I had not seen before. These were taken from the Tacoma side of the bridge, along the railroad tracks. The bridges, or specifically the original bridge, has an interesting history as it collapsed in a wind storm (only 40 MPH or 64 km/h) shortly after construction. Before it's completion it had garnered the name Galloping Gerdie for it's motion in the wind during construction.

In the first photo above, you can see the train tracks. While I was shooting, a passenger train came by at what I'd guesstimate was 50 MPH. It scared me more than I thought it might...
