Hi there, we have fitted michellin commander 2 to front tyre. 110 not 100 but it feels great to have extra width. No problems fitting tyres. We will be getting 160 michellin commander 2 (not 150) for the back soon too

I used the Heidenau K60 & K60 Scout on my Vstrom for a 3000 Mi. trip. I guess they last a long time and work well on the dirt but a little sketchy in the wet. I'm probably more fussy than most after riding/racing/building for about 50 years but I didn't like them and sold them on Craigs list. I found them to ride rough and worst of all the front 19" made a noise that bothered me.

Hi, I'm new around here...

Does anyone know what size of tires are these?

Thanks

did you buy two radials? Or a front bias & rear radial?

I had a flat last week, a nice nail in the center of the spline on the rear. I plugged it, but now I'm looking for replacements also, sooner than I expected.
The Shinko 705's are looking good for several reasons. aggressive dual sport tread for a combination of road surfaces. My situation. Cheaper price, and look cool.
150/70-17 rear, 120/80-18 front. radial rear, bias ply front. 160 bucks a pair unmounted.

Just found out the front Shinko is a tube type and needs a tube inserted, no thanks for me, if I wanted a tube type, i'd have wire wheels too much hassle to fix a flat, extra weight, and ripping out the neat 90 degree air valve.
maybe Pirelli Scorpion 2s now

Hey fellas I have the stock wheel / tire combo on my 16' street twin. Can you tell me if this is a tubeless tire or does it have a tube? I was unlucky enough to have a screw in my tire although there is no air leaking out. I want to see if I should replace the tire or if I am ok. - Thoughts?

Mags are tubless, wire rims tube type

Thanks fellas - I ordered a set of Shinko 705. Mostly for looks as I don't plan on off roading it. I just really like the way those offroad style tires look on these bikes

What bike do you have? Schinko doesn’t make tires that fit my 2017 street twin. I’ve had good luck with those tires on other bikes.

shinko 705s come in a 120/80 18 which fits the front but it needs a tube.

I put a set of K60’s, (110/80 front) about a thousand miles ago. Love them. Have done a good amount of off road and can’t complain. Don’t like deep gravel/sand a bit though.
Agree, the Shinkos look really bad a@@ but first, couldn’t find them and then didn’t know if the front would be too wide.
And yes, the K60s are loud but I think that’s part of the coolness.

Has anyone fitted a front radial on a Street Twin or on any new Bonnie that came with a bias front tire? I'd like to hear if any handling changes ocurred? I'm curious why Triumph found it necessary to use a bias front with a radial rear. The only problem I've found with bias fronts is they wear out about 30% faster than the rear radials and they ride a little rough. In my experience fronts should last longer than the rears. Anyone, anyone...
