Tire Replacement

I am riding a 2016 Bonneville T100. I got the first two seasons out of the original tires (Metzler roadtec 01 rear and Metzler lastertec front) and I replaced the original tires with the same . That front tire still has lots of tread left but I fear the rear tire is nearing the end of its tread wear life.

I have no problems with the Metzler tires and am quite happy to put the same ones on again but i am having trouble locating the Metzler roadtec 01 in the size I need.

Any suggestions on what would be a good substitute for the Metzler tire on the rear?

Please remember, when making suggestions, that this is a cooking motorcycle, not a high speed/long distance tourer or a crotch rocket or ridden on track days. I am simply looking for a suggestion on a decent all round use tire with decent traction in the wet; I try not to ride in the rain but sometimes it cannot be avoided

In my opinion, the Bridgestone Battlax tires are good replacements, and known for good traction and wear. At one time Bridgestone also made motorcycles (in the same plant, before the tire business grew and required the floor space), so they know motorcycles and what are good tires.

I agree. I use Bridgestone's on all my modern bikes. They certainly serve my purposes as a "moderate" rider.
You should be able to find a good tire with any of the name brands.
But from what I'm hearing, there seems to be a shortage of tires everywhere.

i find it odd that there always seems to be a shortage of things in the size that I need; anything from jockey shorts to gloves to tires. As an example - gloves. Always lots of extra large and extra extra large and always lots of small but medium and large always out of stock. After seeing this trend over a period of time, one would think that manufacturers and merchants would make /stock way more medium and large and way less extra large and small. But! what do I know

Avon make a pretty good road tire IMO. Had them on my T'bird and they were great in the dry and rain.
Was the Cobra model. Just make sure you read as many reviews as possible to help with your decision.
