I successfully raised my handlebars 2 inches. It didn’t cost me several hundred dollars like some have paid. All I had to buy is two Custom made risers that go between the stock handle bar clamps and the top triple clamp and 2 longer 10 mm bolts. my machinist charged me $40. The only hard part of the job is rerouting the hard brake line and bleeding the front brake. The return brake line terminates on the left side of the backbone near the steering head. That brake line needs to be rerouted to the right side. I rerouted the stock clutch cable. It’s a little tight but works fine. I have a cable on order for a street scrambler. I’ll switch them when that comes in. It is however working fine and I am pleased. Now maybe I can keep on riding long distances with out as much back pain... Hey, Hotshoe, fantastic, congrats on raising the bars! Have you ridden the bike for any length of time yet? How do you like it? I'd hold on to that machinist's number - he's a good guy to know!

Also, sadly, your photos didn't come through for me? Am I the only one?

The photos show fine for me
I shortened my risers to 1 1/2 inches. It seemed to relieve the stress on my wiring. Today I cut into the hard brake line and made a much longer braided stainless brake line. Before doing this I noticed the hard brake line was moving just a little every time I steer lock to lock And that made me nervous. What a lot of work just to raise handlebars.

Hotshoe, that's some good info about the risers. Have you had a chance to ride yet? Just wondering how the fit is now.
The one and 1/2 inch rise helps the old back on long rides. I did 400 miles last week. What helped more than anything on my bike is fully loaded I can lean back against my tail pack. That’s what helped the most.
