Some of you might be familiar with my woes, from my intro post. I wanted to give an update but wasnt sure if i should keep posting in the intro post.
This is the intro thread: https://www.triumphtalk.com/threads/hi.51733/

Today is more than a month of my bike being at the dealership. Still cant get the mechanic to talk to me. Last i updated you guys was when the seller dealership got involved and said they're gonna talk to the local dealership and Triumph.
I contacted them last week and they said they escalated the case with Triumph and talked to the local dealership. They said i should talk to Triumph about updates on my case. I still have had no contact with the El Paso dealership.

I called Triumph last week and the guy i talked to said there were no updates on my case since the local dealership's original enquiry about the warranty coverage. :(
They emailed me back saying they have involved several technicians to look into this from their end and will update me and appreciate my patience. It's kinda running out at this point. Didnt think a brand new bike needed to be at a dealership for a month and still no news.

I think Fluffy got it "Right" and on the Money.
Let Triumph know your not happy.
You must have a Picture of it , see I didn't touch it.
Ask them , should we go to Arbitration or Judge Judy.
You want it sorted or a new bike , plus , the Warranty needs extending.
Ask Triumph to pay to take it to a Triumph Trained Dealer Mechanic.
Put it in Writing....phone calls don't count for much.
You buy a new bike , u want a new bike.
If it was a Carbureted bike , I could give a straight answer.
So many combinations of possible problems.
Diagnostics tools are not perfect.
They only cover the little boxes.

SITREP:
No emails from Triumph since the email last week. Called original seller dealership and asked to talk to GM. The salesperson said the GM is very annoyed with my local dealership and the way they are acting but they cant really do anything about it since its a different dealership and that my best bet is to pressure Triumph to see if they can talk to another dealership and let me pull my bike out of here and take it somewhere else. And to also talk to Triumph to extend my warranty since its been in the shop for more than a month.
I sent an email to Triumph on Tuesday and called them and left voicemail but havent heard from them since.
Yesterday i got contacted by my local dealership with a quote of $2376.21 (parts and labor) for a new throttle body assembly.
I took time off work and drove to the dealership to talk to the mechanic face to face since till this point of time i had not been able to reach him at all.
I talked to the mechanic, he was real nice and courteous and he took off the TPS cover and showed me the screws were missing from the TPS.
I asked him if there was anything else wrong with the bike but he said that its just those screws. Asked him if he could just recalibrate the TPS and that might fix it instead of replacing the entire Throttle body.
He said triumph doesn't publish the TPS voltage that it should be set to so that the bike will idle right. If there is anything wrong with the TPS the whole throttle body gets replaced.
He said he will still give it a try to do it manually and it'll be a challenge. He said he'll try to see if Triumph will tell him the voltage level it needs to be set to.
He told me to give him a couple of days and that he'll get back to me if he's able to fix it and charge 2 or 3 hours of labor which would be cheaper than the throttle body replacement.

Today emailed Triumph about this whole update and asked if they can let me know the voltage level or the mechanic directly so he can fix the bike. Havent heard back from them yet.

Also contacted the original dealership to see if their service department knows what the voltage level for the TPS needs to be. The salesperson hasn't gotten back to me yet but he said he will check with the service department. He also took down my vin # etc to give to his Triumph Rep to see if he can help with my case.

Since Triumph customer care has been not responding i cant just pull the bike out and take it to another dealership and know that Triumph will back me up in that scenario.

Holding my breath that the local dealership guy can just recalibrate the sensor.
Nothing to say about where the original screws went in the first place.

PS: Also does anyone here have a Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster and know what the default TPS idle voltage should be? Thanks.

Seems simple to me being a electrical chappie.
All that's needed is someone to measure the voltage on a throttle position sensor.(TPS).
Actually its even more simpler than that.
TPS has 3 wires , measuring the resistance on all three, gives one the Load Line.
Now if someone knows the Supply Voltage , which is on electronics is very much a gold standard. And you know the idle voltage...the rest is simple maths and is an easy test to work out if its the sensors fault.
I'm pretty sure that the would be a dozen TPS 's all the same in the real world. It would be easy to do...
But your bikes Under Warranty , and after listening to the Story and the Return Call Waffle. It all comes down to Who Should Pay for this , especially as Triumph , have not expected it to fail under warranty and have thus set an exceptional high price for replacement.
One things for sure.
I would just get a Lawyer to Request a New Bike , as the longer it doesn't run , the more it needs maintaining and the Tyres , by not being used , are detereating , and that's not me , that's Tyre Manufactures . And the same goes for un- used brake systems. They haven't a Leg to Stand On.
Alternatively , lie down and let them Walk all over you.
Its your money , you spent it , technically the electrical!details are just Mud in the Water.
Its just a Legal Binding Issue.

Yes I was confused also about who was saying what and who was annoyed with who.
I am sorry for the confusion.
I have only contacted Triumph USA After sales customer service. Those are the only guys i could find a phone number for and who i can actually reach (on a good day).
I've contacted another dealership up north (next closest to me, around 3 hours drive) to intervene and they were surprised and said they contacted the regional Triumph rep and are going to help me with this.
They also confirmed that the TPS voltage is published by Triumph to all its mechanics and putting a TPS back on a bike is a 5 minute job. Hopefully, them getting a regional Triumph rep involved will help. I haven't heard from him and dont know who he/she is...so fingers crossed i get my bike soon.
I'll keep you all posted.

So good news. I finally received my bike back!
Now to tell you how i got it back. The backup dealership (ABQ) that i had contacted up north told me yesterday that they couldn't do anything about the bike because according to Triumph, the pictures they received from the dealership show missing screws on the bike, hence they decided that i tampered with it. I was told by someone to contact Triumph HQ and threaten legal action, lemon laws, etc and ask for them to move the bike to another dealership and fix it under warranty.
After some time i received a call from the EP dealership (where the bike was) that they were able to put the sensor back on and tune it to the right idle position and the bike would be good to pick up today after some test rides by the mechanic.
I begrudgingly decided to fork out the $260 they charged me and get the bike back. I contemplated contacting Triumph HQ and going the route of trying to force them to fix the problem but till now Triumph has shown no inclination to believe my story and i didn't want to ruffle feathers at the EP dealership where the bike was and end up with them messing the bike up more than it was and still end up with no support from Triumph. Now that i have my bike back, i still am going to pester Triumph to see that the total warranty on the bike is not void and take it to ABQ dealership to get looked at towards the end of the month (probably have enough miles for first service by then). ABQ dealership had told me that regardless of the current TPS issue, the rest of the bike should still be covered under warranty unless that too has been tampered with. EP dealership couldn't tell me why the bike wasn't starting earlier, nothing about the battery or anything else but the bike seems fine right now.

TLDR: no resolution on why the bike didn't start in the first place, apparently its ok now, the dealership charged me 2.5 hours of labor (i guess the screws were free) and the bike ran fine on the ride back home. I can't wait to get a night of sound sleep.

I'm happy U got your bike back and its OK now.
Hope that's not typical USA.
