STEERING STEM NUT TORQUE SPECS?

Hello: I'm just trying to find out the specs for tightening the stem nut on a 2012 Bonneville; I'm putting a friction type steering damper on it.

Jim from what I was able to find this morning it looks like the setting is 65 Nm or 47.905 FtLb.

Thanks Hemi: I should have replied earlier, sorry. I went to 50 ft/lbs as that seemed to be what it felt like when I took it off. Obviously, 65nm is sufficient. The dealer told me 90nm, but I heard that is the spec for Thruxtons.....why, I don't know. My 02 Trophy was 65nm and if it was good enough for a bike that big, it's good enough for the "Bonnie".

At least that's the mindset of a "village idiot" on this: Jim
