It happened about a year ago, and now, again. Got set for a ride yesterday, pushed the starter button and......nothing. Since I was in a hurry, I used the self-installed emergency start device and went on my way. Today, I took the starter button assembly apart, lightly sanded the contacts, coated them with chain wax, and she fired up like new. That sure is a poor design. Thank goodness its an easy fix.

I, too, have had that happen three times on my 03. I have not had the problem with Mae Lyne's bike. I think our humid, salt air works on that poor design. It is interesting that you used chain wax; I used dielectric grease.

I used the chain wax cuz it was handy.....that, and I can't say dielectric grease. This is Okeechobee, ya know!!
