My 2017 Bobber has begun to struggle starting a cold engine, begins to turn the engine and fails and a few tries later will start it. Has a new battery, 3115 miles and serviced. Seems like a lazy starter.
Has anyone had this issue

Yes, I have a trickle charger and tested the new battery as well, both batteries are good. It seems the starter lacks the torque to turn a cold engine and then ok once the engine is warmed up!

Different batteries have differing CCA. (Cold cranking amps, i e., higher CCA can produce more torque through starter). Check the spec of yours, see if another battery with better CCA is available
Lithium batteries don't crank well if cold

How long has the bike been stood? Are you using E10 fuel?

Not wishing to be oversimple - but is it worth wire brushing and cleaning the battery terminals with brake cleaner . The Bobber has a smaller battery than T120

Starters aren't lazy, they spin at a given speed based on the voltage applied and current available. Things that can affect that speed are usually mechanical, not electrical (i.e. battery is fully charged). Corrosion on the starter terminals is a potential that is easily checked. It's unlikely you have a fueling issue since there's not that many miles on the bike. So it could be a myriad of things working together to prevent it lighting off quickly. Make sure you don't have any codes lit in the ECU and you might consider changing to a lighter oil if it's really cold (sub freezing).
