At 2:21 in the video, there is an evergreen-looking tree leaning to the left. Is that tree still there, and what kind of tree is it? I suppose that might be an effect of the wide-angle lens.

There are a few of those trees in our suburb and they all lean like that. Apparently it is the wind that makes them do that. I am not sure what they called.
 
I am also trying to see a difference and cannot, however the quality is not as good as in the video before and upload to these sites.

I did find some nice software that is free now I just have to get used to using it.

Well after only using this as a dash cam on short trips around 15 to 20 minutes I started using it for a longer duration. At around 40 minutes this camera will overheat and shut-down, so this was a bit of a showstopper for my use and I am now sending it back. I suppose if you use this on a bike the airflow would keep it cool.

Yeah I am rather disappointed as I was enjoying the cam. I suppose I would need to look at the GoPro but the cost is more than double.
