Well I know I've opened myself up to all sorts of comments blah blah blah today and so be it. In view of people wanting to leave this forum, and I have once done this myself, perhaps there should be an 'unsubscribe' button so that members can voluntarily exit the forum without having to request to be allowed to do so.
This way, if someone wants to exit, it would enable the action to be done quietly without causing upset to anyone and no reasons or dialogue would have to be given or entered into.
I've no doubt my own outrage will cause a few to add me to an 'ignore' list and so be it as there is nothing I can do about that.
DaveM - please feel free to move this to any other you feel is appropriate.
