Yes sir, they are due to the fact I'm in Kim's Hemi Powered truck :y2:

Actually it is in honor of Bob Armstrong, see the Governor's directive below.

TX – Bob Armstrong

March 3, 2015

Commander Jose Ortiz
Capitol Region
Texas Department of Public Safety
1500 North Congress Avenue
Austin, Texas 78701

Dear Commander Ortiz:

The State of Texas has lost an honored leader with the passing of former Land Commissioner Bob Armstrong. His service to our state and nation was noteworthy, serving as a member of the Texas House of Representatives, Commissioner of the General Land Office and Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management at the U.S. Department of Interior. As a mark of respect for his life and public service, it seems fitting that flags should be lowered to half-staff in memory of this highly regarded leader.

As such, pursuant to Chapter 3100 of the Texas Government Code and 4 U.S.C. § 7, I direct that the Texas and United States flags on the State Capitol be flown at half-staff for the remainder of the day today, March 3, 2015. I also direct that all Texas and United States flags should be lowered statewide on Thursday, March 5, 2015, in honor of the life and public service of Bob Armstrong. Individuals, businesses, municipalities, counties and other political subdivisions and entities are encouraged to fly their flags at half-staff for the same length of time as a sign of honor and respect for this admired leader.

The First Lady and I extend our prayers of comfort to his wife Linda Aaker and the Armstrong family during their time of grief and urge all Texans to remember and honor his service to the State of Texas.

Respectfully,

GREG ABBOTT
Governor

As promised, more info on the Flags can be found here in the Beauty Around USA - Texas thread https://www.triumphtalk.com/threads/beauty-around-usa-texas.16003/page-5

My submission for flags......if you zoom in you can see all the major service flags, plus the battle ship has a number of signal flags.......and then I snapped the other 2 for extra credit

So let me know if these pics "FLY" lol if so I will reveal the next challenge!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you Sir!

So what next then ........I am going to make this one EASY come on gang lets see who can get this one first.......and as we are still dealing with bad weather all around I am going to ad a "caveat" of sorts.

You don't HAVE TO RIDE to get the next one........its more a "timing thing" first person with a current (taken today) SELFIE of them and their bike WINS!!!!!!!!!

HURRY GO!

Hmm, you'll have to judge whether this is a selfie or not. My phone doesn't have a camera on it, and my camera won't fit me in at arms length. So I parked the camera on a car roof and set the timer! However, it is done by me, about 10 minutes ago! I'll await judgement before I announce the next challenge!

Thank you Dave. I'll humbly accept your approval and so the next challenge is...

.... Your Triumph AND your spouse or partner! Your "better half" should preferably be sitting on the machine!

Key's I missed your post, I must have missed the notification, so sorry my friend, your pictures are brilliant. I love, as you know anything to do with the military, what Battleship is that. It's good that you can get so close to it as well. You've done my suggestion proud. It's been nice and sunny and whilst walking the dog this afternoon, in the space of 45 minutes 3 RAF Typhoons and 4 Tornadoes flew overhead, then as a special treat I was having a cup of tea ( Well I am English you know ) in the conservatory, when 2 more Tornadoes went over the bungalow, and they weren't hanging around either. Maybe they got a scrambled message, saying that the kettle was on.
