If my knees ever improve I'd think about buying another Rocket, miss that monster torque off the bottom. I enjoy all my other Triumphs, just miss my old Rocket.
The GT is easy on the knees, the R could be a problem.
It's the bike's weight that's the problem, not riding position. I switched to lighter weight bikes, oddly enough the Speed Triple RS 1200 is the lightest of the group and has the most power. It's an adrenaline rush in a different way than the Rocket. And yeah I look like a bear on a tricycle when I'm on any of them.
This reminded me of my wife’s boss. He was a big man and he lived in our general direction. We would see him on this smallish motorcycle going to work and my wife said he looked like a circus bear on the bike. LoL.
