I agree as someone who has had a ride on the bonnet ( hood ) of a peugeot car still sat on my bike , hoping that the driver would not slam his brakes on but did anyway .
Not a great day :y47:

That’s an experience I hope not to share. Glad you rode the bonnet and lived. Your bike probably wasn’t too happy, was it totaled?

Actually the bike did quite well broken foot rest , dent in the tank , broken clutch lever and bent bars , but then my left leg and arm took most of the impact .
Big hole in my nee ( lots of the red stuff ) and a broken elbow , but i still managed to ride home afterwards as i was not having roadside assistance from the ambulance , as in the uk you have to pay for medical assistance in an RTA .

Wow. I likely would have tried to make the same choice. I take it you were able to piece the bike back together later. That’s an amazing read, I’m certainly glad you are here to tell us the details. I get the idea this was a few years back.
Side note, ambulance service will cost you here as well.

Ye it was back in my mid 30's so 20 years ago now .... the bike repaired as if nothing had happened apart from the tank which i bought a half tank cover for which covered it up , i was a bit gutted as it was my first brand new bike a 2005 yellow suzuki sv 650 sport a fantastic little bike that i will allways have fond memories of
