To tell the truth I’m tired of the “RAT pack eventsâ€
Last year I joined a few but this year none. And I already logged more than 11,000 Km (6,800 miles) this year!!!
The majority of the time I ride with two friends: One rides a BMW R100R and the other a Honda 750Four.
As an ex-BIR Belgium rider told me: You don’t need anybody to tell you what/where/when/how to ride.
Just try and find experienced riders and join them.
Sum-up: To ride only with Triumph bikes can be very boring!!!

That's because you haven't ridden with the TTC RAT Pack in Jo'burg! It's really a great bunch to be with. When you make it down here, we'll show you real TTC RAT Pack hospitality. :y115:

We also have small groups that ride on weekends or do long trips that aren't official RAT rides. :y114:

You have a mind?

I don't think the make of bike is what makes it boring - it's the people you ride with. We ride with truely fantastic people who all happen to ride Triumph. We also break off and do our own runs. Me and the hubby have done 10k this year but we have only done 2 rat runs.

Notice to TTC long distance Ratters - isn't it time to organise a long jobby again?

You said it. When's the next long weekend? Can't take too much time off work at this time of year! But December's only a few months away - maybe a Karoo/Kalahari trip???

The thing is for you guys it is not so much a RAT run but a bunch of good friends going for an outing :y115:

You got that one spot on. When you ride together and have lots in common you do become good friends. We are not a closed shop - anyone is welcome :y115:

Kalahari in December sounds great. Cr*p - now I'll have to do some serious dieting so that I can squeeze into my summer riding jeans! 45 celcius............. well that'll sweat off a few kilos.

Lioness, get the map out and start planning a route!
