I put new nology coils on it and got her to start. She will not idle right now. There is a mystery hose that isn’t attached on the left side. It come from the bottom of the stator case. I’ll pour over the manual tomorrow after work. There is also the fact that my sparks on the spark plugs are not rapid firing but rather a long ass second between each spark. I’m going to bed but that’s my update ! Enjoy the sound of this beauty !!!
Roaring !

Well we know idle failure isn't due to spark at the plugs, otherwise it wouldn't start. Idling is usually a matter of fueling or ignition timing. Assuming the timing isn't too far off based on the fact it actually started, that leaves fueling as the highest potential problem. Did you have to 'choke' the carbs to fire it? And when you took it off 'choke' the engine die? Or are you saying the bike will start with the throttle twisted up so it starts around 3K rpm and let the gas off it dies?

I’m saying the bike starts when twist the throttle and when I let it dies. The choke cable isn’t even attached right now. I pushed the choke manually w my finger to see if it made a difference and she was still unable to idle.

OK, that sounds like a carb issue. Obviously the ignition system is working so the bike runs, so now it's getting the carbs fiddled. Did you clean the carbs before mounting them?

Sounds like promising progress. A picture of the hose might help.

OK, now hook up your choke cable so you can test the idle circuits in the carbs. Once the choke is operating put it on full choke and NO throttle and attempt a start. If it 'kicks' but doesn't start is a symptom of the possible problem.
I started w starter fluid w the choke attached. And idled for like 15 seconds maybe 10. No throttle.

Speaking of which there is on the older models a vacuum line to the petcock from one of the nipples on the carb manifold. That needs to be plugged if using an auxilary tank to start the bike.

You using an auxiliary tank?
Yes. And so I connected the hose to the nipple and I’m able to get the engine to idle but when the throttle is twisted I hear an air sound and the engine it’s out. Sounds like carbs.

OK you have a 'sorta idle' so to chase any air leak WD-40 is great. With engine at idle spray around the intake manifolds and see if the idle speed increases. If it does whatever manifold you just hit is leaking.

Tried that no luck. There is a faint hiss whisper from carb area when I twist throttle. Also hard to hear but I do think I hear an air leak? Something leak when it’s idling
