Rocky, I won't let my GP near me with a needle - on the day they taught how to give injections, he was absent but the nursing Sister at his practise is brilliant and she knows me - she covers the needle tray when I come in, then covers my eyes and then she does her thing. I am such wuss around needles! But not as bad as FS!

When I know there is going to be a needle involved I look away and just let it happen.
Two years ago I had an injection for the H1N1 flu epidemic.
I went to a school gym and stood in line.
I sat down and rolled up my sleeve and waited.
Eventually the nurse said nicely, "You can go now."
In other words, move along, people are waiting
She was so slick I didn't even feel it and I was still waiting for her to stab me :y2:

I am a regular blood donor and it does not bother me at all.

I have always had a fear of needles and have passed out more than once.
So much for my he-man image CRY
But, thankfully, I seem to have gotten over it as I get/got older.
I also think it's due to smaller needles and better skills of the injectors.

LOL I have seen a lot of grown men get woozy and even faint in the Army vaccination lines.
