No, not a motorcycle get off; a visit to the dentist.

Thursday, I lost a filling. On Fridays, dentist offices are closed except for emergencies - and that is costly. I figured I could tough it out over the weekend. So with aspirin and benzocaine cream - and careful chewing - I survived the weekend. I had an 09:00 appointment this morning. I was in the chair at 09:00 until 12:15. Root canal, massive filling and a temporary crown. The pain is intense; thank God for pain killers!! The procedure was painless; but when the numbing wore off - WOW.

That's like being hit in the mouth with a SEMI TRUCK!

I can bare most any pain EXCEPT when it comes to dental work. I too never flinch while it's being done....it's always the aftermath that catches up with ya!

I worked with a lot of people with only a handful teeth in their mouth, not pretty. On the other hand, nothing, and I mean nothing scares me like the dentist.

Ouch Carl! Hope it feels better soon. Thank goodness for Synap Forte or Myprodol or just plain old fashioned single malt. I dont have a problem with going to the dentist, I just don't like needles. You can do what you want to me as long as I don't see any needle. If I see a needle I'm outa there in a flash or I just pass out:- :-)

Nope normal setup :y10:

OUCH, that was no fun at all!!!!!!!
I've never had anything like that done, thankfully!!!
I have a young dentist who is a whiz and hardly ever inflicts any pain.
I have no fear in going to him at all.
The only serious work I've had done lately is two crowns fitted.

Thanks, Adrian, Dave, Gromit and Rocky. It was certainly not my idea of fun!

Fortunately I have no aversion to needles; I had a bunch of local anesthetic injections yesterday.

I have always had a fear of needles and have passed out more than once.
So much for my he-man image CRY
But, thankfully, I seem to have gotten over it as I get/got older.
I also think it's due to smaller needles and better skills of the injectors.
