As I indicated on another thread, my left foot peg snapped off. Now I need to buy another ASAP. Any recommendations on who and where I can get one. I need it by Thursday. Headed out for to Barber on Friday.

The dealer is closed today. Is that something they would normally stock? Who on line is good to order from and can expedite shipping for me? I'm having a hard time sorting this out.

thanks!

It's all good, Devo. I found what I needed. Delivery date was most important. Lotsa British Triumph parts companies out there.

Hope you ordered a set as you could find a difference in them if they are not the exact same make. I missed the thread where you mentioned that it broke not very good having a foot peg break on you. I always seem to think of them as being the one thing that would be unbreakable.

Considering this, and the other thread on the same subject, I took a close look at the footpegs on my Bonneville.
I see that the mounting bolt isn't as substantial as I thought it was - and that it's welded in place.
That said, I haven't had any problem with mine except for one nut backing off a little bit.
The broken footpeg could be salvaged by taking it apart and drilling/grinding out the remains of the welded bolt and fitting a new one with a spot weld or two.
But that takes some time and golfingirl wanted a new one by Friday.
In any event, I would still save it and maybe do the repair just to have on hand - or to bail somebody out.

That's right. I retrieved it and can reuse the actual peg. It's the clevis which is the hinged part where the bolt is welded to that needs replacement. The bolt snapped off. I ordered a couple thru Bike Bandit with expedited shipping. Still not shipped. Spoke to them today and said they ordered it from Triumph in Britain. It will take 7-10 business days then they'll expedite it to me! Crazy. They weren't that helpful and had an attitude. I won't deal with them again. Cancelled my order. I called a dealer today and they will have it overnighted for me and I can pick it up from them tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

I've dealt with Bike Bandit a few times and was satisfied, but I've heard about others who weren't quite so satisfied.
As you said, there are other dealers and lots of parts suppliers so there's no need to put up with any bad attitude these days.

That is good to hear. Time is drawing close!

Bike Bandit, as stated orders from Triumph instead of a local (US) supplier. I was looking for an ignition switch and couldn't locate one locally, they all said they had to order one from England. BB was cheaper than the local dealers but it took for ever to get the switch in. I'll only use BB as a last resort in the future.

I guess you can't blame them for that if you want the dealership network to survive.

Exactly
My son has a retail outlet and a smaller private supplier (live fish) got miffed when we told him to stick his product when we saw him listing it on a public auction at the same buy-now he was charging us.He honestly believed we were there to sell on his behalf at no profit for us.:y7:

Bloody uncivilized of you to try and make money in your business venture! I'm not going to get political here, but I believe that Carl will know what I'm talking about when I say that I think that I know the vendor's political leanings..............
