On an totally unrelated message board, a discussion about the practicality of owning a scooter in Pittsburgh somehow turned into riding a motorcycle in the snow.
Some guy said he rode his sportibike all winter last year. He went on to say lots of people do it. We had record snow last year and I certainly didn't see ANYONE attempting to ride a motorcycle in that!
Then I found that pic...lol!!

To aid in snow traction, one trick is to use plastic wire ties (the thickest type) around your tires...snipping off the excess and spacing them evenly.

Trust me , you still have plenty of excuses.... :wink:
I used to do quite a bit of riding in the snow when I was much younger and had a dirt bike that I didn't care about crashing. But alas, I'm older (not any wiser) and don't heal as quickly today, not to mention I haven't got a bike that I'd care to take a spill on.
