Actually I have thought of it a number of times.

A co worker is looking right now at a Subaru Legacy station wagon. blown motor dinged and dented body but solid guy wants 500.00. He is looking at putting a turbo charged wrx motor in it .....so it looks like a crappy 'ol lady wagon....that will blow your doors off :y2:

Sorry, that didn't answer your question.

That would be a 1 for me.

How many people have wanted to as a grown up build a "Sleeper" for those not knowing, its taking an old car, jamming a mega HP engine into it, and all the goodies needed to make it whicked quick, but leaving it look like crap....I am consider it right now......I have the prefect old junker car to use, a dented, rusty, paint peeling mercury cougar sitting in the snowbank

Some years ago I was at a mates house and Wayne Gardner (world champion) who was holidaying back in Australia dropped in to say gday. He was riding a bike that he'd built up from his Moriwaki spares kit in England. It looked reasonably standard (from a quick look) but it had everything changed to titanium, full engine job etc. When he left it went onto the back wheel without any effort and out of sight. You never know who is riding or what that bike beside you is.

I have definitely thought of it. Go for it TUP

Used to hang out in the garage with Bill Kemp and his son Mervin working on cars, drinking beer (before I was "legal") and listening to his extensive collection of bagpipe music.....on VINYL ALBUMS!!!!! (damn I'm old) any way.....love the pipes probably one of the few people in South Alabama who does:y6: Why did I mention that.....dunno just thought it was interesting. Have a nice day
