Hi All.. just popped in to say hello! Hoping to Receive and offer information on mods/Maintenance/e.t.c.. Recently purchase a Triumph speed 1200 on a 24 plate in Baja matt orange March 2024.. up to now loving the bike.. Only just covered 1500 miles as also got a touring bike.. just waiting for some nice sunny weather to appear so I can add a few more miles in the Twisties.. Did have a 2021 R nine T for those Sunny ride outs.. which to be honest is a excellent machine but always like the look of the speed twin.. "they say change is as good as a rest" up to now not regretting the change. I know some speed twin owners change the suspension front and back and stock exhausts.. but to be honest I can't find a problem with the stock suspension or exhaust so no plans on changing them! I'm not a racer by any means.. did all that in my younger days.. but I don't hang around either.. so up to now I find the stock suspension ok for my style of riding! having said that I don't ride "two up" and I'm 80 kg in weight with all my gear on "which I assume is the Factory set up Average weight" which seems to suit me.. don't have any more mods planned.. AS I'm SKINT NOW.. LOL.. will most likely will remove the Racetec RR tyres when ready to change for Michelin Road 6 as would suit my style of riding better and will last longer. Bye for now

Welcome from sunny North Texas. The shocks are preload adjustable and have plenty of travel. You might have a friend measure your rear static sag and make sure it's optomised to get the most out of the rear suspension. The front static sag would only be adjustable if you install preload caps. I did that on my T-120 and it made a BIG difference.
