Here’s what a Harley looks like… my ’51 FL without the ‘pogo stick’ OEM seat that puts you way up in the air… I think it’s a tie with my ’84 BMW R100RS as for weight, but both have a low center of gravity so feel surprisingly nimble the moment you start rolling.

The ’71 Bonny feels like a bicycle after riding either of them—neither of which I can push up the apron into the garage. The Bonny? No problem...
That is exactly why I didn't purchase another adventure bike. At my age I need something with a low center of gravity that I can easily maneuver around. The T120 fills the bill and gives me plenty of power.

Absolutely. Among the reasons I acquired the ’71 Bonny: the ’51 ‘Paint Shaker’ will get sold at some point, and the ’84 Beemer is for grocery runs and commuting during the Winter. But the Bonny is for keeps—I’m hoping for another ~35 years or so.

Never get tired of seeing the Bonny . Hard to believe it’s not a Trumpet colour .

Thank you, Sir! I knew it was risky but have always loved that ’66 GM shade from when I was a kid and figured it would compliment the lines of that iconic tank well. I’ve finally gotten all the ingredients in to polish-paint-and-decal the side covers, so hoping they finish integrating the bike’s aesthetic nicely. We’ll see…

Told them $14,750 out the door for the 2025 T120 black and $15,500 for my Rocket. They said ok on the T120 price but no on the R3 trade in. What the heck, they will ask $18,500 for it.
I told them when the T120 is still sitting there next month give me a call.

But back to the purpose of this thread...

I’ve got my fingers crossed you get your T120!

Eventually, thx
We are going to NorCal for a 9 day visit where I used to reside. I want to ride the Rocket on some of my favorite roads there.
So some time after July I’ll try again on the T120.

Embarrassed to say I didn’t really know what a Rocket was until I checked out a Cycle World review just now…

Whoa, 700 lbs and 2,500cc! So, my ’71 Bonny is 300 lbs lighter and 1,850cc smaller (I remember doing Olympic deadlifts for reps with 315 lbs in my 20s, so have a sense of what that feels like). Oh, and $20,000 cheaper (I don’t think I have more than $5,000 into it). It’s almost as if we’re riding in parallel universes…

When the Rocket got too heavy for my knees I went with a Bobber Black. Very low seat height (27"), plenty of torque and the crappiest suspension on the planet. After putting a real rear shock on it and changing the forks to full emulators it's a very fun and comfortable bike to ride. Adding forward controls got my legs happy. If the limited ground clearance wasn't an issue it would rival my Thuxton for fun in the twisties. The Speedmaster is basically the same bike only built for two up instead of solo.

The heck with the Triumph dealer, I just purchased a 2013 HD Switchback in Big Blue Pearl. A replacement for the bike I should never have sold. $9300 delivered from Texas. Should be here in 10-14 days.
