"Please let me know what you think of the camera position."

I like the position, it shows just about all in front and allows us to actually read your speedo. The speedo part can be a problem if the man is looking in, but it helps us relate to what you are actually doing. Well done Carl, we now look forward to many postings.

Thank you, Kevin. I, too, like the fact that it shows the speedo and a little of the tach. I will use it heavily in a couple of weeks when I go to to the North Carolina mountains. I will also experiment with the still camera sequential shot feature.

Finding just the rght place on a bike to mount a camera is often difficult - especially if there is a windshield in the way.
I think you have found a good compromise position TUP

Thanks, Rocky. That is really the option for the camera without going to a chest harness.

Finding the right place to mount a camera isn't as easy as you would think it was.
I've fiddled around alot, and I'm still trying new things out.

I would reconsider showing the speedo though. Perhaps some one way film over the clock might distort it at that angle.

I can't view any of the vids right now. Youtube isn't possible right now.

...

I would have to use some film to hide it; I can't think of any other way to mount the camera other than there. If I used a chest harness the speedo would definitely show.

I think you've come up with a great mount there Carl
Were seeing a good clear pic ahead and thru the screen where necessary.
Considering the obstacles you had with more traditional placings, this is a great tradeoff.
Re the speedo,I can see Avions point here, but if you know you have the cam on board, just ride to suit.:y2:
Also, when uploading to u tube, select the link to view option, that way your movie is only available to anyone reading your thread, and not the general public.

Thanks, Dave. I am satisfied with the location here are two photos of the mounting location.

Note the bugs on the mirror and handguard. :y2:

My HDStealth is in exactly the same place as you Carl! lol

Nah - you right, mounting points on the Tiger is pretty limited unless you make a mount bracket for a fork leg or crash bobbin.

Great minds eh? Bwahahahaha

urgh - got the flu.

I got a good SD card when right off. I had remembered you commenting on your cheap one. I think I may opt for a spare battery as opposed to the extended one.
