Thanks, Harry. That is what I am considering; I will have to order one. I am thinking of mounting it on the mirror stalk because of the windscreen. I also may try the chest harness.

mirror stalk may be prone to amplifying vibrations carl, can you not shoot thru the screen,or mount infront or under the screen.
you may even be able to use a stick on on the front of the screen but I would make up a safety lanyard with one of gromits cable ties.
Def worth trying a chest harness, due to total lack of vibration they give a very sharp picture, but they are a hassle to wear and are certainly not a cool look.:y7:

Dave, a suction cup mount came with mine kit as well as five adhesive mounts. All useless to me. I will have to buy the handlebar mount and maybe be try a chest harness.

Harry, I will try through the screen. There is no way to mount it under the screen or in front of the screen. I'll experiment and see how it goes.

I did post a couple of still pics I took with it in the Toy Hauler thread. I also posted my first feeble attempt at a video with it in the Toy Hauler thread. I was hand carrying it.

Nice rig Carl, now I'm jealous. :y2:

Good first GoPro clip, now we need a riding video. I tried the photo option today on our morning ride, now I've got almost 4000 photos to wade thru and work up a ride report.

A little off topic but if anyone in SA needs camera mounts for all these helmet cams try Actioncameras.com in Randburg. I ordered three mounts on a Friday 2pm and got them monday before 8am

... .

After much experimenting, I mounted the GoPro on the base of the left hand mirror stalk. I tried mounting it at the bottom of the windscreen. The view was really good; but there was way to much vibration. The Tiger windscreen really flexes. I also tried mounting it on the handlebar; but the windscreen is curved and distorts the view. Below are three vids that I made while trying out the mirror stalk location.

The first vid shows me leaving my house and going to my dad's house - basically across the street. These videos will show the urban sprawl in which I currently live. I have a minimum of nine miles of the urban/suburban crap before I get to decent riding areas. If I ride south, I have about 20 miles before I break free.

Please let me know what you think of the camera position.
