I can see it all now:

"Breaker 19, this is Cannonball Carl, come on back"

"Gotcha CC, This is Rocky Rocket, any leo's down your way"

"That's a negatory RR, it's all clear, so put the hammer down"

Regarding the volume, that was a learning experience for me. I should have had the open back on the camera's protective box rather than the waterproof back.

. :y2:

Actually Carl,on second look at the vid,I noticed you are looking thru the viewfinder, which means you are actually talking below and away from the cam.
It would probably be a bit louder if you could hold the cam like a compact digital camera, however I dont think this would fix the way you talk.:y2:
BTW definitely stick with the closed back on the bike as it works well as a wind sock.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will follow your sage advice.

I did purchase the LCD BacPac today. Now I can video and photograph like using any digital camera. I also got a handlebar mount and I will see how that does through the windscreen.

Just watched it again, I never did hear the accent y'all was a talking about. Must be this dang speaker, I'll have to try it on the computer speakers to see if I can hear it there.

Great. looking forward to the results.Tis a shame you aren't handy to someone with all the kit so you could try before you buy.Would hate to think I talked you into a bar kit if it ends up being no good thru the screen.

A little off topic... here's a still photo from a bar mount on today's ride.

You are going to like the camera once you get to play with it some.

You are right about that. But it does not look look the bar mount is going to work for me. I can't get it far eon ugh outside of the windshield and the windshield distorts the pictures/videos.

looks like ya just gunna have to toughen up and throw that screen huh Carl.:y2:
seriously,that is bad luck
how about a sticky mount on the front of the screen ?
also, will the barmount work on the bonnies ?

Yes, the bar mount will work on the Bonnies and on my GF's Yamaha. I am considering using the adhesive mount on the the windscreen. I will be taking the Bonnie to North Carolina next month and will use the handle bar mount then.

Carl, Do you have crash bars on the Tiger? I guess I could search for a photo but took the lazy route and just asked.

I've mounted my GoPro on one of the crash bars for a ride and it did great. I used the handlebar mount and it fit like it was designed for it. It's just a thought but you may have more mounting locations than you might have thought about.

Yea, that 21 incher would block some of the video. I was thinking the crash bars might also come up high enough to protect the tank.

You could mount it to one of the grab handles or tear rack and film where you were. :y2:

What about those side lights I cannot see how far they come out or if they have some type of a stem. I do see the covers around them seem to be a grid type so could you not mount it on that

I looked at doing that via an adhesive mount. The top of the light guard is solid. I would have to extend the camera out from in back of the windshield to make that work. I am going to experiment with that further.

one little pointer tho Carl
The longer the leg on the mount, the more vibration you get.
