Hello everyone, thanks for welcoming me, and thanks to the admins for keeping this thing running. I recently (2019) decided to learn how to ride a motorcycle. I took a training course and then bought a beautiful 2018 T-120 black. I don't have a mechanic I trust, but I'm somewhat handy with cars, so I figured I'd try to learn to do maintenance items myself, things like oil changes, brakes, and chain maintenance. I'm also recently deciding that I'd like to use it to drive up into the Appalachians for weekend trips, so I'm interested in outfitting it for storage while still having the potential for a passenger. I've found a few things online that I like; does anyone have recommendations? Is there anything to watch out for, or anything I should look for? I can't find anything in this forum, if there is and someone could point me to it, I would appreciate it.

These are some of the things that interest me so far:

Welcome to TT from Eastern Canada. Great intro post BTW.
Very nice choice for your first bike.
Lots of good choices for outfitting your bike for touring. I would consider the sissy bar/parcel rack with backrest for carrying cargo and a passenger. Gives them something to lean on and easier to strap cargo to.
Saddle bag choices are many. I like the look of the Triumph waxed cotton ones myself, but that may not be for you. At least they would mount on proper and there would be less fiddling(read headaches) to install.

Welcome to TT from the Sunshine State. You have a wide variety of bags (panniers) to choose from: hard luggage, soft luggage, throw over the seat, etc. Do you want the bags on your bike all of the time or only for trips? When you travel, will you be traveling two up or solo? If you don't want hard bags and you will be raveling solo, over the seat bags might be more convient for you.
