There are times when I wish I had never had any children.....today is one of those days!

Dad always gets roped into helping to move them when they get new living quarters. Today, I move my Daughter from one part of Pittsburgh to another. :y4:

I somehow always also get roped into paying for the moving truck on top of everything else.

And of course, yesterday was a pretty nice February day for this area......then I wake up this morning to fresh snowfall and much colder. Of course it had to get cold and snow! I hate my life right now! :y2:

Anyhow......I'll be offline almost all day and to make matters even worse, I'll miss going to the hockey game at 1:00 PM. (that's actually THE worst part!).

I've been through his several times.
In one case I had to fly to Toronto, rent a U-haul, help load it, and drive it back here.
The other times were local so it wasn't too bad.
Oh well, what are father's for :y2:

I have helped on a couple occasions......and it seems the last 4 moves I have been involved with (them or me) it rained.......1 was actually completed ina a rather bad tropical storm........why does it always rain (or snow) when you are moving?
You have heard of Murphy's Law? I live by O'toole's Rule......which states in a nut shell, Murphy was an OPTIMIST!!!!!!ANGER

Left at 9 AM, and just got back home at 12:15 AM. It was horrible. Hard to imagine a girl can have so much junk!

To make matter worse, the hockey game I could have gone to was a 8-1 blowout of the Tampa Bay Lightning....Malkin with hat trick and Staal with 2 goals (one short-handed). I would have loved to have been there!

Hockey Is Life.....the Rest Is Is Just Details.

I missed seeing in person what is probably the greatest hockey goal of the season if not the greatest of the 21st century!

Evgeni Malkin stickhandles the puck from one end of the ice to the other weaving through the entire Tampa Bay team (even putting it between the defensemen's legs) to score:

As I said back on Saturday, after a beautiful Friday with unusually warm temperatures for February and a perfectly clear day, I woke up on Saturday to cold and snow in which to make this move in.

But I suppose things could have been worse.....

On Saturday while I was moving my Daughter's stuff, there were two separate chain reaction collisions on Interstates 79 and 80. The one on I-79 involved around 30-40 cars and trucks while the one on I-80 involved around 70 vehicles.

Both incidents were caused by complete white-out conditions as a result of what we call "lake-effect" snowstorms coming off of Lake Erie.

Lots of people were injured and three people died in the collisions on I-80. The dead were all from the Pittsburgh Metro area.
