May is motorcycle awareness month.
Our riding season has barely begun and we've already had a death
It appears that speed was the contributing factor.
Riders have got to smarten up because helmets and armored clothing can only do so much.

I am sorry to learn of this tragedy. I hate to hear of a rider going down. Possibly a contributing factor is the layoff in riding over the winter and the failure to practice for bit as one starts riding again.

That was the advice the RCMP officer was giving to riders through the camera.
Slow down, practice a bit after such a long hibernation and stay safe.

When I had my eye surgery, I did not ride for six months. I definitely had to practice and ride easy to get back in the groove. It took me about a month to get the"feel" and my skill level back. And that was riding and practicing almost every day.
