Thanks for the welcome everyone! Got to take my wife Mary out for a ride this morning for the 1st time. We rode about 120 miles north on 77 (oracle road until you get well out of town) around the N side of the local mountain, down into the town of Mammoth(and Mammoth only in it's very small size) and on N to the mining town of Winkleman. We had to turn around at that point as the heat of the AZ sun was tapping us on the shoulders. As we headed back we found a small park in Mammoth that had a faucet we could really soak ourselves with for the rest of the ride back. The Bike is really starting to mellow with absolutely minimal vibration and the suspension is not nearly as bad as I was expecting. The road is pretty rough(paved but still not exactly smooth) and the handling of the bike got compliments from us both. Mary loved it. And that makes me really glad because the BMW gs800 was sub par in a lot of ways. Very good ride on a bike we are already coming to love and looking forward to many 10's of thousand of miles of future travel.
